And there we are...the beautiful house on College. The cool Saab. There's a triangular city park to the right. How can I convey the tranquility of this neighborhood? Chris Alexander, in his seminal work "A Pattern Language" describes "east facing bedroon", "city park nearby", "room to walk"...there's an old elementary school around the corner and a new high school (I think it's a high school). Kids on bikes all over, playing, knowing eachother...probably unaware of the mess that's going on in Iraq...but, maybe not.
